Source: http://www.doksinet I-Suite Database Guide. A copy of the I-Suite database will be left with the host unit when the final IMT leaves. This copy is the only record you will have of what was actually posted in I-Suite if you need to reconstruct or analyze the data. The data sent to the repository is not intended for this purpose. There are two options for accessing the data from an Incident. 1. Restore the database from a backup file or 2. Attach the original database (NOT the repository file) The process used will depend on the type of file you receive. This guide will provide step-by-step instructions for each option.  You will need to have the most current SERVER version of the I-Suite software loaded on your computer. After installation, add the names of any district personnel who will be accessing the data. It is recommended that at least 2 people be given database admin access. See the attached instructions  Make sure you have the correct I-Suite version, the

database name, and password from the Incident Management Team. This should be included with the I-Suite information you received. Although the personal information in the I-Suite database is encrypted it is recommended that the password is filed separate from the database files.  The I-Suite data will be either an .mdfgpg file (database) or a bakgpg file (backup). File the I-Suite data in the following location: a. Mdfgpg database files: C:Program FilesISuiteDatabase b. Bakgpg backup files: C:Program FilesISuiteDatabaseBackup It will make it easier to locate the files if you use the default file location. Review the instructions on the following pages and determine which process you need to use. Once you complete the steps you will have full access to the Incident data If additional data will not be added to the database, it is recommended that you fill in the end date for the incident. This will prevent any accidental changes to the database To add the end date, follow these steps:

     Select Data Admin from the Modules Menu Make sure the word Incident is selected Highlight the specific Incident Add the End date in the window below Save. If there are multiple incidents in this database you should repeat this process for each incident.
